JAWADHI HILLS –Tribal Welfare
The Jawadhi hills are extension of Eastern Ghats in the districts of Tiruvannamalai and Vellore.
This is one of the holistically developed works right from the start. It caters to the need of the poor in all the aspects.It offers boarding facility for 165 tribal children and young people who are the students of the community college with proper infrastructure and nutrition. It also has spread its wings to 69 night study (1815 children) centres to provide better follow up of unprivileged children.There15 regular staff and 76 part time teachers.
The centre caters to men and women to organize them into groups for self-employment and cooperatives. One of the significant contribution is watershed programmes in the regions. There is also de-addiction counseling and treatment centre.
