Shevaroyhills Tribal Development Institute (STDi) a wing of SPS INDIA FOUNDATION, The Retreat – Don Bosco, Yercaud along with Don Bosco Vazhikaatti – Trichy organized a mega job fair. STDi has done a scientific study on the lives of the people of Yercaud Panchayat with interns of Christ Deemed to be University. Interns have prioritized joblessness of the youngsters as one of the primary concerns to be addressed. And also the Students of Philosophy (Salesian formees) after their Sunday Oratories brought out issue of youngsters remaining in idle with their mobiles without any job. Hence, STDi in collaboration with DB Vazhikaatti planned and organized a job fair on 11th March 2021. This is the first initiative taken to address the cause. Following companies Kapston Soultions P LTD – Chennai, Euro cast engineering P LTD – Coimbatore, Emerald jewel India P LTD – Coimbatore, Neel Metal Products Limited (JBM group) – Hosur, Rising Star Mobile Manufacturing P LTD – Sriperumbudur, Poly Hose Rubber India P LTD – Sriperumbudur, Grand Palace – Yercaud, grand Dayana hotel – Yercaud, sterling hotel – Yercaud, Brooks Residency – Yercaud came to recruit staffs. There were 95 participants from Shevaroyhills, Yercaud. Among them 75 were selected by these companies and they were asked to report in the company after two days. All the hotels from Yercaud asked the selected candidates to join tomorrow (12.03.2021) for job. The Job fair was successful as it has made the lives of the poor tribal youngsters bright.
