ECO-CLUBS TO PRESERVE THE NATURE!

 

The retreat community, Yercaud has been working towards the empowerment of youth and children of shevaroy Hills, through a number of projects and movements. Forming eco-club is one such innovative movement, which aims to motivate the children and young people to save nature and to make them aware the importance of natural resources. So far, we have formed three children’s eco-club and a community eco-club in three different villages of this hill. The villages are Asambur, Manjakuttai, and Piliyur. We had the inauguration of these eco-clubs on 14th March 2021. In the following week, on 21st March, 2021 we had successfully completed the awareness campaign (eco-rally) and cleaning up the drive in their respective villages. There were more than 30 children and 10 young people participated in this great event. Special thanks to Fr. Franklin, SDB for organizing this wonderful and awareness programme.
