Chocolate Making Training
SPS India Foundation, in collaboration with Desai Foundation Trust, organized a chocolate-making training for tribal women. On 8th March 2025, in Sorakkapatti Village, Yercaud. The training aimed to equip the participants with the skills necessary to create and sell chocolates, providing them with a valuable source of income and promoting economic empowerment. The session included an introduction to the chocolate-making process, followed by hands-on training where participants learned how to melt, mix, mold, and package chocolates. The women were also taught basic branding and marketing strategies to help them sell their products locally. The event was a success, with active participation from the women, many of whom expressed interest in turning chocolate-making into a small business. This initiative not only helped enhance the women’s practical skills but also fostered confidence and entrepreneurship within the community. The training ended with the distribution of certificates, marking a step toward self-reliance and economic independence for the tribal women of Sorakkapatti Village.
