Vilathikulam – SPS ME !
SPS ME ! is a pilot project Micro Enterprises project implemented in Vilathikulam region of Thoothukudi distrist. It is implemented through Vembu, Salesian NGO working in Vilathikulam and Cauveri, Developmental office for the Salesian Trichy Province.
The project is supported financially by SPS foundation, The Netherlands. An initial loan amount of Rs. 5,40,000 was distributed among 45 women in Febraury 2016 for their small and micro enterprises. At present 71 poor rural women are benefiting from the project. This small credit help them to come out from the clutches of private money lenders and helps them in their economic development.
